Calvin the giant town pop up by WillziakDS Calvin the giant town pop up by WillziakDS
This is my second Calvin and Hobbes pop up (although Hobbes is not in it) and my first pop up in too long. I loved the animation of this scene, and its like Calvin at his most 'terrible'. Done the usual way, more effort spent on trying to recreate Bill Watersons colouring than the previous one required and tricky to get it allto close cleanly and what not.

I like how this turned out and I think I may try to do some more C&H pop ups, so if anyone has a favourite scene or character from the books you would like to see, let me know in the comments section.

Here is a wee 'open and close' video: [link]

Thanks for looking!

I don't know why this is, but the back drop of the town kinda reminds me of Hill Valley from the movie "Back to the Future!"I might have asked this before, except how do you go about creating these pop ups of yours? This one looks like it has taken awhile to make only it looks well done.

Like! Though I like the out of the [Box Calvin] a bit better.

How about the fire place scene, where Calvin is laying on the rug in front of the fireplace, reading while Hobbes looks on, and the fireplace looks warm behind them.

It's raining here, I should go check the fire...

I'm thinking Tracer Bullet next. I really want to do a bold black and white pop up!
