Red Jeep Wrangler Papier Mache by WillziakDS Red Jeep Wrangler Papier Mache by WillziakDS
This is a red Jeep Wrangler made from papier mache. I made this for my friend's birthday, he is a Wrangler owner and loves these vehicles!

Its about 35cm long and is made from the usual stuff, card board, paper and pva glue. Painted with high quality acrylics and sealed with 90% PVA mixture. (Although I used black drinking straws and pipe cleaners for the frame at the back. Works pretty well I think.)

This took a lot longer to make than I anticipated, as the design of the Jeep Wrangler is more complex than I initially thought. But my friend was very chuffed with it and that is what counts.

Took about 20 hours to make, cost about £3 -
I love Papier Mache!

Yeah, a lovely vehicle. So much personality. Red is also the nicest colour on it!

The straws work perfectly! As usual, amazing work. It's interesting because I always thought the shape of a Jeep was pretty simple, but I forgot how they get those boxy angles in the front.

Yeah it has more angles than you would think. I think the straws look ok as well, glad you like it!

Would that be Calum? It was very late during 'that' evening, but I think I recall varying discussions about his jeep...

It looks like a very sturdy and durable model. The paint-job looks really strong as well.

It would be he indeed. He loves Jeeps! Not my usual subject matter, but he wanted what he wanted!
